Whirlpool has announced that it would cutdown 5.6% of the Current Workforce,which amounts to about 4500 jobs.This move was taken after the Whirlpool’s acquisition of the rival Maytag Corp.Whirlpool is planning to close Maytag’s Washer and dryer plants,corporate headquarters and research centre and also the administrative office. Whirlpool is currently the Nation’s biggest appliance maker and its recent take over costed $1.8bn and today morning Shares fell by 92 cents.
